We greatly enjoyed hearing the excellent musicians in such a special place. The acoustics were fantastic. The first violinist had a very strange and distracting habit of inhaling intensely and loudly through his nostrils while playing, even sometimes to signal the other players when to begin a phrase. This really detracted from the experience. We've never heard a musician do this before. He should get some coaching on breathing whilst playing.

This was an lovely concert experience. The musicians were highly skilled and the repertoire appealed to a mixed group. I would recommend this concert to others. I do feel that the seating in the small setting was a bit crowded. An improvement in seating would create an ideal experience.

Im Ticket war auch der Besuch des Mozarthauses enthalten, und es stand geschrieben, dass wir eine Stunde vorher kommen sollten wegen des Museums. Als wir dort ankamen, wurde uns jedoch mitgeteilt, dass die Information im Ticket nicht korrekt ist – das Mozarthaus ist nicht inbegriffen. Das hat zu Verwirrung und Zeitverlust geführt, da wir schon eine Stunde vorher dort waren. Als wir die Tickets für das Konzert erhielten, wurde uns gesagt, dass diese falsche Information korrigiert werden sollte. Abgesehen davon war das Konzert selbst wunderschön.

Attended this with my 19-year old son; was a great way to get the classical music experience in Vienna. Small room, beautifully decorated...I’m no expert but the musicians sounded good. Chamber music, with four musicians.

We went as a family (single mom of 2 adult girls). We were riveted. The acoustics are spectacular; the musicians are expert artists. I think it was the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard- to be in that setting with such disciplined talent. On our tour of 3 countries, this was my favorite experience. Thank you to those who continue to create that kind of magic.

Instead, we enjoyed an enchanting evening with the Doha String Quartet, whose musical quality and very apt selection of piece left nothing to be desired. Visiting Vienna for a day and booked this the morning of the show. The intimate show in this amazing venue gave me joy from start to finish. We absolutely loved the concert at Sala Terrena! The atmosphere was intimate, the string quartet performed beautifully, and the hall’s acoustics were excellent. Highly recommended for a small taste of classical music in a city filled with it!

The cozy venue was the perfect size and had excellent acoustics, allowing the audience to truly enjoy the concert. The string quartet exceeded my expectations. They are gifted musicians and highly professional, from their personal presentation to their clean and expressive interpretation of the musical pieces.

Le choix du répertoire, les musiciens et l'accueil à la Maison Mozart Vienne nous ont pleinement satisfaits.
Toutefois le prix nous a semblé un peu trop élevé. Nous sommes abonnés à un orchestre national et le prix d'un concert d'environ deux heures est beaucoup plus raisonnable.
Ensuite je ne suis pas sûr que l'acoustique de la salle soit si bonne pour un trio de solistes ? Quand on voit les infinies précautions qui sont prises pour éviter les réflexions sonores multiples et pour donc éviter le chaos sonore ? Voir par exemple le Musikverein ....
Nous garderons toutefois un excellent souvenir de notre séjour d'une semaine à Vienne !!

We enjoyed a Mozart Ensemble piano trio concert earlier this month (January 2026). The entire experience exceeded our expectations! The performance was wonderful, and the intimacy and the history of the concert space--Sala Terrena--made the experience all the more delightful. (We booked our tickets early enough so that we reserved seats in first of only four rows. Imagine sitting in such proximity to the musicians that, if the violinist needed to ask you turn the page for them, you could do so without getting out of your seat.) We would highly recommend this experience to any fan of Mozart, Beethoven, or Haydn, and especially to anyone making their first visit to Vienna. I also will say that the Konzerte in Mozarthaus team, both in person and behind the scenes, do well in identifying the location: concertgoers would do well to locate Singerstrasse 7 ahead of time (it's barely a couple minutes' stroll from Stephensplatz, but it's NOT at the Mozart Museum : ) ), and those who do so may be treated to a peek inside the equally intimate St. Elizabeth's church of the German Teutonic Order (located just inside the archway entrance at Singerstrasse 7).

My 20-year old son and I saw a concert here. It was such an amazing experience. It's been a few weeks now, but we still talk about how special it was. We loved the small venue, the beautiful space, the very talented musicians, and the acoustics!! So much better than in a large symphony hall. It was easy buying tickets on line, which we bought the day before (first week of January). The cheapest tickets were rows 5 and 6, I think.
I would recommend this to friends and family, and I will definitely go again.

This was perfect from the greetings of the staff to the concert to the concert itself. It was very appreciated that the room was lovely and warm. (Many other places in Vienna that seem not to correctly heat their public spaces. (Winter time).

The length of the concert was just right.

They do need to reduce the number of chairs though. There were more than a few very overweight visitors who spread over two chairs just to accommodate their size (barely). It would be better just to add five euro's to the price to reflect this. . In fact, have a two-level price structure. If you are from Europe a lower cost and for all other countries, a higher cost. Easy to arrange at time of online booking,.

Such a beautiful and intimate venue. Concert was amazing. Was drifting off imagining Mozart playing here 250 years ago.

This was such a fun experience and one of the highlights of our trip. The musicians were incredible, the music was so moving and the fresco was breathtaking. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Vienna who is eager for cultural experiences.

Only issue we ran into was finding the entrance. Do your research beforehand because apple maps wasn’t accurate and we ended up running in circles for 20 minutes and almost missed showtime. As a heads up it’s located right on the main road, not a side street!

Highly recommended whether or not you are a serious music lover. Quality of the musicianship was very high, and the intimate setting such a rare opportunity. Beautiful in every way.

The piano trio took themselves a little more seriously. Superb pianist and violinist. Two super programmes.
But a 'heads-up' to anyone going for the first time - the venue is NOT Mozart Haus. We were redirected to the correct venue by a very helpful but slightly annoyed staff member at Mozart Haus. Apparently it's a regular occurrence.
I've made it 4* because of the venue confusion as we might well have missed the Sunday performance.

Musicians were delightful.

The ensemble was fantastic and we really enjoyed it. The only downside was the audience - taking videos, violently coughing, making noise with wrappers and water bottles, it was quite distracting. I knew when I booked it, that it was for tourists but I did not anticipate such bad behavior. It may help the venue to ask the audience to refrain from such behavior to provide the best experience possible for those in attendance who are there to enjoy a concert and not all of the added percussion.

I recommend the Mozart Ensemble concert to anyone who loves music and the performance of musicians. There is not a bad seat in the venue and the acoustics are tremendous. The fresco paintings are from before Mozart lived at this church.

Look at Google Maps to ID the venue. There will be a sign on the sidewalk but it is hard to find and your taxi driver will be able to find the address but will not necessarily know the venue of "The Mozart House."

The performance was lovely. The musicians were excellent, especially the cellist. Booking was easy but make sure you book this group of performers. The performance space was very much like a chamber concert although the music was well known music.

Perfect for a winter activity. I was with my partner, we enjoyed both, learned much about Mozart and had fun. The musicians were skilled and the concert was beautiful.

We loved how small and intimate the venue was for the performance. The venue was gorgeous and truly felt like we were back in the old days with Mozart. The fact that the venue was a lot smaller than an auditorium or opera house made the music sound incredible, and I really felt like I could connect with the performers and see their movements and expressions as they were playing. The performers were also very funny, and I loved how they engaged with the audience.

Booking this activity was extremely easy. I booked tickets for my boyfriend and me only one night before hand, and we were able to get our tickets very easily. I'm not sure how quickly these performances sell out, but I'm glad that we were able to attend this event so last minute.

I would highly recommend this to anyone! I think this was one of my favorite (if not favorite) part of visiting Vienna =')

An intimate musical experience that delivered from start to finish. Short but perfectly paced, with undeniable artistry throughout. Our multigenerational family (ages 11-72) was thoroughly engaged. A real gem!

This would have been a great concert even if it wasn’t in Mozarthaus. (Although that did add to the ambiance.) The musicians were amazing and had a wonderful rapport with the audience. This was the highlight of my two weeks in Austria!

Everyone in my group truly loved the experience. The musicians were not only talented and passionate with the music but we enjoyed their storytelling of Mozart or the other composers or the salon space.
I regret we did not realize the church next door could have been visited. A little more historical info about the monastery the salon was a part of in the initial information or on the website to be directed to would have been helpful.

The quartet was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed each piece selected for the concert and closed my eyes to fully surround myself with the music. I only wished that the audience held their applause until the end of each piece as is customary and proper. Perhaps before the performers entered, the staff could have cued the audience to hold their applause for an uninterrupted performance.

This was a wonderful, intimate experience with talented and engaging musicians. Totally worth it and the highlight of my trip to Vienna!

The experience remains enjoyable thanks to the musicians who play very well and the beauty of the venue, but if you can find better, do so!
It feels like a tourist trap in terms of how it operates and how you are seated, even though the venue is quite small. There is really no reason to charge different prices for seats.
Then the welcome is a little cold, the performance starts after the hour and ends before or just on time. I also regret that the musicians are so quick; they play, there's an intermission, they come back to play and leave immediately. All these elements really spoil the experience, which is a shame. The show lacks a human touch and interaction.

The concert setting is very intimate. Our front row seats were 5 feet away from the musicians. The trio put on an amazing show. With half of our 8 person group being musicians, we were impressed with their technical skill, musicality and showmanship. We highly recommend the Mozart House.

The setting in Mozart's first apartment in Vienna is a perfect place to experience top musicians perform classical pieces. The intimate seating where you sit close to musicians gives an intense and emotional atmosphere. The 4 musicians play with such accuracy and power that makes you feel you sit in front of a 20 person string orchestra. The pieces were mostly Mozart, but the quartet also played a very difficult piece by Schubert. There is a small introduction to the building and the music. The atmosphere is relaxed with the music in focus. We will definitely come back for another performance next time we are in Vienna. It's easy to book and easy to find.

Nice small venue with great acoustics.

The concert was joyful. The Mozart Ensemble played with zest and were clearly enjoying themselves. We heard 2 pieces by Mozart, 1 by Haydn (whom I prefer to Mozart, marginally) and a Strauss waltz - ending with an encore of the Emperor waltz by Strauss. Setting delightful and original. A memorable experience in my Vienna visit.

We had such a fantastic time at the string quartet concert. The musicians were of the highest quality and performed wonderfully, and it was a truly unique experience to enjoy the music in an amazing venue. Highly recommended.

We expected a lot coming in from classical music in Vienna, but this far exceeded expectations. Each of the three musicians in the piano trio were brilliant musicians and engaging performers. It was easy to feel the spirit couscing through the room!

My husband and I had a wonderful night at this concert in the MozartHaus. The enthusiasm and professionalism of the musicians was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed the intimate setting with such a small audience. I have no hesitation in recommending this event to anyone looking to experience a concert without hordes of people. It gave me goosebumps to think that Mozart himself had played in the same room!

The lovely small venue was a perfect intimate place to fully be absorbed in the exquisite music. The acoustics were excellent. The performers were outstanding and masterful. The programme was divine. The performance was the absolute highlight of our time in Vienna. I highly recommend this classical music experience. Five stars.

The performance was excellent, with great enthusiasm from the musicians. Acoustics in the hall brilliant. The experience was only spoiled by fellow audience members arriving late. The lead violin even commented that it felt more like a pop concert than a classical performance. Maybe it should be made clear in booking that late comers will be made to wait outside until an appropriate point in the programme and then only allowed in during a break in performance. Also not sure that seating in doorway is appropriate from a health and safety perspective as evacuation would have been difficult.

A beautiful historic venue, great acoustics, a don't miss in vienna

Despite having paid for a premium seat, I was directed towards the middle of the pack, and actively stopped from taking a seat in the front row..which remained empty during the performance. The musicians looked really worn out. They hacked through some 'crowd pleasers' without any commitment to an authentic or fulfilling musical experience. Utterly disappointing. To be avoided.

While I enjoyed the music, the setting was a total fire hazard. Chairs were lined up with exit access at only one end. The other end abutted a wall. One can't even escape the chairs under the windows because they are trapped by the row in front of them. Since the two windows and door are both closed during performance, there is no ventilation in the room and it is extremely hot. In addition, the information online says that it is "open seating." That is not in fact correct. There are A and B seats. I assumed that meant that within those areas, the seats would be open. My husband and I purchased A seats and arrived extremely early in order to procure the seats we wanted, however, the man at the ticket counter said that we had been assigned to specific seats. I asked how this was possible given the open seating policy. He said seats are assigned based on when tickets were purchased. My tickets were purchased months in advance. And, despite the open seating, the two front rows were reserved for a tour group. I get claustrophobic and refused to sit in my mid row assigned seat. There was no way I was going to sit in a place where I was trapped in case of emergency. After much complaining, the man at the ticket counter eventually allowed us to sit along the wall. Unfortunately, for these reasons, I would never recommend this concert to anyone.

Definitely worth a visit for music lovers. Highly professional musicians in small (6-7 rows) hall with amazing acoustic used by Mozart himself.

Just fantastic in every way. Small Sala allows for an intimate appreciation of the music. Would highly recommend to anyone visit Vienna. The location was hard to find due to construction across the street but we latched on to other lost tourists and together we found it.
The room is cozy so leave your jacket in the assigned coat room. Don’t take video or photos of the concert as it’s happening - very rude as the one lady next to me insisted on doing despite the written request not to.

An intimate, high-quality concert in a beautiful setting. The orchestra is friendly, high-quality, and provides additional information about the pieces throughout. However, the price is a bit steep, and the break/pause, where a soft drink or wine additionally must be purchased, doesn't help either.

The musicians were superb, but the chairs are uncomfortable and cramped together, and the space itself is small so the music is pretty loud, almost uncomfortably so at times. Although I enjoyed it, I much preferred a similar experience in Salzburg at the Marble Hall.

The trio concert at the Mozarthaus was an unforgettable experience. The program featured not only Mozart, but also works by other great composers, giving the evening a beautiful variety while still capturing the spirit of Vienna’s classical tradition. Differentiate themselves by not playing what we have already heard too much time. Very nice concert hall but given its size (about 10m x 10m ) the sound was sometime very loud. It was nice to féal that Mozart and Brahms played there.

I would recommend adding an adult only event. There was a couple with 2 small children in the crowd; at a small venue like this with the concentration needed to play this type of music I was a bit disappointed that young children would be admitted to a 8:00 show. Children crying at a Mozart Emsemble is not good for business. Adults crying by how amazing this group performed is ok lol.

It would be more suitable and realistic if they played on period instruments. The cement walls and tiled floor is too live for modern instruments. Hurts my ears.

People: grrrrr. People were allowed to enter late, delaying the show start. Very inconsiderate. Brochure clearly states no cell phone recordings/photos but the cell/social media addicts just can’t live without filming everything. Again, very inconsiderate. I do recommend the organizers remind the audience just before the show starts that no video/photos are allowed during the performance. This did not happen.

That said, I do recommend this performance, it was worth the price of admission..

The venue and the ensemble were good, very intimate and an interesting setting.
We certainly enjoyed the evening, about the right length.
However, would have enjoyed more Mozart at Mozarthaus, and much less Chopin. Sorry, just not a fan of his music.

This was my first classical concert anywhere, and I don't even listen to classical music. I found the performance spellbinding, and the passion of the musicians was clear to see in their facial expressions. It was one of my favourite experiences ever! I was in the centre of the front row, which made it even more special.

This was a nice intimate surprise. Musicians were excellent and quite entertaining. My only negative comment is that they should offer you a glass of champagne during intermission instead of breaking the concert up to try to sell you a glass.

In so einen historischen Raum ein so wundervolles Konzert zu erleben hat mich in die Zeit von Mozart zurückversetzt. Ich konnte diese Atmosphäre von damals in der schönen Sala Terrena in jeder Faser meines Körpers spüren. Alle drei Musiker waren Weltklasse. Mit dem Ensemble aus Geige, Klavier und Cello hat es sich wie ein ganzes Orchester angefühlt. Ganz nette Idee, dass jeweils ein Part von einem Musiker alleine gespielt wurde. Was der Klavierspieler mit seinen Fingern vermochte zu vollbringen ist einfach unglaublich. Auch der Part mit der Dame und ihrem Celo, Gänsehaut pur.
Wer nach Wien geht sollte sich dieses Konzert auf jeden Fall gönnen. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis passt zu 100 %.

The best Mozart concert I have attended. Each of the four players were outstanding and the pieces chosen were great. And being in the very room where Mozart played was special.

Nous avons passé une soirée inoubliable, avec des artistes remarquables et très proches de leur public. Un spectacle à ne pas manquer, mais à réserver à l'avance car l'assistance est par nature limitée.

J'ai adoré l'expérience. Magnifique concert avec un bel entracte pour prendre un verre dans une cour intérieure.

Le seul bémol, un peu trop de chaise pour la taille de la salle, nous étions pas mal trop serrés, coudes-à-coudes sans espaces.

My family of four attended the piano/violin/cello ensemble concert, and purchased seats within the first three rows. The repertoire was varied, showcasing familiar favorites with pieces that we were introduced to on the evening. Most importantly, the pieces showcased the immense talents of the musicians. The 60 minute total time was perfect to enjoy with kids and the venue was cozy. It was a totally worthwhile and memorable event.

The Mozart Ensemble plays beautifully and the room itself is stunning. It's like stepping into a music box. But that’s where the elegance ends. They pack the audience in like sardines elbow-to-elbow in a space that deserves more reverence. It’s less a concert and more a human storage unit with a soundtrack. The music tries to soar, but it's smothered by the sheer density of bodies. A gorgeous venue and talented musicians, yes but the experience feels more like a cash grab than a celebration of Mozart.

It was a small intimate experience that really brought us to the days of Mozart, exposing our kids to excellent classical music. it was just the right amount for us novices. The quartet was very friendly and helpful and explaining their music. The production was really nice. Allowed our kids to sit in the front row.

Whilst the performance was fantastic, I was expecting a bigger room with more comfortable seating. It was cramped.

This is a must-see in Vienna. The beautiful concert hall, exceptional musicians and lovely staff made it an experience to remember.

My wife is more entertained by classical music than I, so I purchased two tickets primarily for her. The purchasing process was as easy as anything else these days. I don't recall seeing any up-charging or hidden fees like Ticketmaster or LiveNation (bonus points). The mood of the small audience was relaxed and attracted a diverse group of people. Some were dressed up and others were not. Everybody seemed to enjoy the musicians and the pieces that they played. I'm always impressed with the richness of the sound directly from stringed instruments as opposed to hearing the music through an audio system. Overall, it was a pleasant momentary escape from the bustle of Vienna's tourist center.

What a thrill to be able to hear this very talented ensemble in the room where Mozart played.

Everything was perfect including the historical theater (Mozart performed here & lived nearby), the setting (small group of about 40 people & every audience was relatively close to the musicians, we were lucky enough to have the first row middle seats, what a privilege) & of course the outstanding performance of fair few well known music. The leading violinist (a young gentlemen) was awesome & he told us some fun facts of different greatest composers. The connection (body language & eye contact) among four musicians was joyful to watch. The overall atmosphere was very elegant, reachable & friendly. I would like to summarize my experience in one word, SUPERB! Booking was super easy without any issue at all. I would highly recommend this offer to everyone.

The best part of this concert was the beautiful, intimate venue and the op18 Beethoven string quartet played at the end. It was a shame that time was wasted pandering to popular tastes by giving "tourist" performances of Eine kleine Nachtmusik and an arrangement of the Alla turca movement from Mozart's piano sonata. The group could better have offered complete Mozart and Haydn string quartets to complement the Beethoven. The first violin seemed occasionally to misjudge the acoustics and sounded often quite loud and strident whereas the cellist's enthusiasm was infectious. Period costumes looked good in the room, but seemed a tad kitschy. Being seated in the back row meant quite some straining to see around the heads of taller audience members. Recommendable for those who enjoy a thoroughly tourist oriented classical music concert in beautiful surroundings.

Amazing musicians and lovely intimate venue.

The musicians not only played the music beautifully, they were also amazing performers with good musical chemistry - it was enjoyable to watch them play together. They addressed the audience to tell us small tidbits about the pieces and composers they played which was a really lovely addition. There was a wide variety of classical pieces from different composers, I appreciated the variety.

I also bought two relatives with me who don't listen to classical music and has never seen it performed live. They both also enjoyed the evening which was a testament to the show!

All was incredible: the sala, the musicians were incredible and very close...loved all the cultural data and comments they added to the toccatas were very interesting and fun. Very nice that is a small group, so you really can be immersed in the music. Also the intermediate was lovely y the beautiful patio area with sparkling wine. Thanks to all the team!

The Sala Terrena is a small, beautiful, intimate concert hall.
It's kinda hard to find the correct door if you're using Google Maps, so consider be a bit early if you get lost!

The Mozart Ensemble performance was a delightful highlight of my trip to Vienna. The music, the atmosphere, and the historical setting all combined to create a truly memorable evening.

One of the most impressive aspects was the lead performer and piano player. He was incredibly charismatic and had a natural rapport with the audience. He began speaking in both German and English, then quickly noticed the international crowd and switched to English. His introductions to each piece were insightful, often with a touch of humor, and he encouraged the other two musicians to share their own brief stories, which added a personal and interactive element to the concert.

The venue itself added a lot to the experience. Not only was it a place where Mozart himself performed, but it is located next to the church where Mozart worked. The church is still owned by the ex-Crusaders, which gave the entire evening a additional historical spin.

During the intermission, guests were invited to enjoy drinks in a charming courtyard, which was a lovely touch. The seating could have been more comfortable, but this was a minor point in an otherwise wonderful evening.

The booking process was smooth, confirmation came quickly, and the directions and instructions were very clear.

This was the most wonderful part of our trip to Vienna- I think everything about it was perfect: the concert took place in a small gorgeous historic setting which was enjoyable in its own right, booking was easy, we were not crowded, and the time of the concert and length of the concert were both great. You could take a young person and they should be engaged- it was only about 75 minutes or so with a small break in the middle.
But the musicians and the music were of course the best part! To hear Mozart and others’ compositions brought to life by such skillful musicians who clearly love their history - this was the best part. Not all of us get to hear live music very often and certainly not of this high quality and beauty- it was balm for the soul. HIGHLY recommended!

The setting is beautiful, intimate and the acoustics were gorgeous. The "period" costumes were tacky in concept and fabrication and not necessary and somehow they skewed my feeling of the whole performance. The pace of delivery was fast and it felt like there was a rush to get it done. The overall quality of musicality and rigour was lacking. I have been wondering if the high ticket price was because of the size of audience being small. If so - then maybe that is reasonable. When I compare it to ticket prices in London to see excellent musicality and rigour, it seemed high. Just my reflections - maybe insightful for some and not for others!

We loved our concert at Mozarthaus. All three musicians were excellent and were passionate about their music. We also loved the variety of composers and would have maybe liked one more Mozart piece. We all gave them a standing ovation and they gave us two encore pieces. I would definitely go again and highly recommend the performance. We did have a little trouble finding the location, somehow I thought it was connected to the Mozarthaus museum and we couldn't find the number of the street address we were given. Very enjoyable, we loved it!

We loved the small venue but could have used a few less chairs. The music brought tears to our eyes because it was so lovely.

Of course, the setting is magnificent, as the photos show. But the performance was also very fine, as this Mozart Ensemble comprises very professional musicians who show their love for the music chosen and perform it well. We were very happy that, from all the musical offerings marketed to tourists, we chose this particular one. Although not all of the audience was sophisticated enough to know not to applaud after the movements of each particular piece of music, the cellist explained this delicately by showing the historic preference for not applauding after movements of a piece, which was very welcome, indeed. The venue is perfect for the musical selections, so this was a memorable event for us visitors to Vienna. We shall be back to enjoy this again.

I thought it was a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it. I think that people should know that the seating plan is a bit cramped, but the place is beautiful and so is the music!

The room is magical, the musicians were magical (especially the first violin), and the whole experience wanted to make me sell everything and move to Vienna. I was worried it might be a little bit of a tourist trap (I’m a tourist and there were plenty of us there), but the quality was just immaculate. It was totally worth it. I also love Mozart and being in that room was special. Best day ever.

My friend and I greatly enjoyed the concert! The performers were brilliant musicians and humorous in their interludes. The cellist spoke briefly about the history of the venue, which added to the atmosphere of the show. I would definitely recommend. The online booking process was also relatively simple.

This performance was one of the highlights of our Vienna visit. We found it to be highly enjoyable for classical music lovers and those indifferent to classical music alike. 100% recommended.

From the very first note, I knew this concert would be fantastic! The performance was very energetic and played with so much passion. I enjoyed, too, how the musicians spoke to the audience and provided information on the pieces they were playing. The venue is incredibly small and intimate. I wish I could have taped it, so I could listen to it over and over!

Wonderful music in a cozy historic location. Musicians were very talented and discussed the background of the pieces they played. If you are a Mozart fan, this is a must!

This was a real highlight of our trip to Vienna. To listen to Mozart being played by four extremely talented musicians in the city he lived in is very special and must be experienced.

If you know absolutely nothing about classical music you might enjoy this overpriced, rather silly tourist pastiche. But if you do actually care about music, avoid at all costs. The first violinist is an insufferable hack who turns the immortal Mozart into violent chicken scratchings. Truly, the worst performance by a professional musician I have ever heard. (Thank goodness for the cellist— she played Dvorak with feeling.)

If you live classic music I would definitely recommend the experience. Had a little trouble finding the place, but enjoyed very much the evening.

I stumbled on to this while in Vienna for a few days and really wanted to hear some live classical music. The venue only seats 42 people and is quite intimate. The acoustics were fantastic as well. The performance was a quartet ensemble with top notch musicians. You could tell they were having fun as well. Overall the whole thing was an unexpected gem and my wife and I really enjoyed it.

We had a fantastic experience attend the Mozart Ensemble at Mozarthaus in Vienna. The music was absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely attend again if we visit Vienna in the future!

What a fabulous experience to spend 1.5 hours listening to brilliant music played by engaging, supremely talented musicians—close up! The proximity to the musicians, wherever you sit in the room, makes for a riveting experience you won’t get in many places. It will bring the important musical history of Vienna alive for you, and you’ll have fun! My one complaint is that (and we are not big people), the chairs are crammed in much too closely. The ticket price deserves better.

Intimate room, very beautiful. The musicians were very good and even better, they seemed to really enjoy playing for us! Loved the pieces they chose. There was an intermission where you could buy drinks, but cash only so be sure to have some euros on you (we did not)

Seeing four incredibly talented women perform at Mozart’s House was the highlight of my entire trip—truly unforgettable. Their performance was so moving, so breathtakingly beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. The combination of their talent, the historical setting, and the intimacy of the venue created something magical. I honestly could have stayed for hours just listening. It was the kind of experience that leaves a mark on your soul. If you’re in Vienna, don’t miss the chance to witness something this special. It was, without a doubt, the most memorable moment of my visit.

This was a wonderful experience. The players seemed to really enjoy the music and the venue was amazing. The one problem was that it was hard to find because the nearby Mozarthaus museum is much better signposted.

It's a bit tricky to figure out where the entrance is to the room, so don't be thrown when your GPS leads you astray - it's worth finding the Sala Terrena! Once inside, the room is beautiful, it's quite easy to see even from the back (so you don't really need to spend extra for the more expensive tickets). The performance is excellent - we had a trio of skilled musicians: Dusan Sretovic (piano), Claudio Bentes (violin), and Teodora Miteva (cello). We arrive early, but you don't really need to do so, since every seat is good. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the playing/singing, the great acoustics, or the very ornate setting. Casual music fans will recognize most of the pieces performed, so even children could probably enjoy this concert. Mozart didn't live in the building very long, but that truly does not matter. There is an intermission and they serve wine, beer and soft drinks. Highly recommended if you have a free evening and want some light classical entertainment. Our concert including Haydn Trio all'ungarese (3 movements performed almost without interruption), Beethoven Moonlight Sonata, Mozart La tartine de beurre and Violin Sonata KV 304 Allegro and Tempo di Menuetto, a waltz by A. Lyadov op 9, which I had never heard before but was lovely, Liszt Un sospiro, Bach Cello Suite in G Major Praeludium, a Flamenco by Huguet Y Tageff (very lively), the Gounod cello and piano arrangement of Ave Maria over the Bach Adagio (a switch from the announced Saint-Saens The Swan in honor of the passing of Pope Francis), and concluded with (what else), a Strauss waltz, "Roses from the South" - a satisfying "pops" concert.

A wonderful, intimate way to end our trip in Vienna. There were maybe 10 people in the concert hall, which gave everyone a great view which was a nice surprise. The musicians were amazing, they truly seemed beaming with joy to be playing for us, which made me feel special and honored. Unfortunately there were two girls that arrived (late) and sat in the front row, only to be on their phones for most of the concert! It was demoralizing and I felt bad for the musicians, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. My only qual was the start time, as we had an early flight the next morning. I think a 6pm or even afternoon performance would be wonderful, and a great conversation to carry to dinner afterwards.

The musicians did a wonderful job. Seating is tight but we enjoyed the evening very much. All seats are good seats unless you always prefer the front row. The venue is intimate and charming. Acoustics are good!
(FYI- If you’re planning to attend a classical music performance, it’s a good idea to understand when it’s ok to clap before attending the concert so there’s no inappropriate or awkward applause during the performance. Google “sonata form” and “when not to clap during a classical music performance”)

There is nothing quite so special as being in this special setting so close to talented musicians playing beautifully.

The four musicians were very talented, but there were a few awkward moments where they rebuked the audience because the rules on applause and photography were not clear. They should include this in the program.

Everything was outstanding - the venue was unique, the musicians were of the highest professional standard, and the atmosphere was electric. A truly one-off authentic experience that will stay with me for ever as a highlight of my first visit to Vienna. Highly recommended.

Musicians were incredible! We loved the small venue except the seating was a little too tight and we were rubbing shoulders with strangers. That said we would rebook it in a heartbeat.

Out of the many events I scheduled during my Vienna vacation, this was my favorite. (I went to the Spanish Riding School, ballet at the State Opera, UN tour, Waltz lesson, bike tour, the palaces and museums, etc, and almost didn't book this one but am so, so happy I did!)
It was actually my favorite ticketed event during my whole stay. I absolutely recommend it to anyone. The intimate concert hall with its history - no matter where you sit, you're very close to the musicians and the acoustics are so great they sound even more amazing. It also highlights their flawlessness, since they are just a quartet and every sound is amplified. Even if you don't normally listen to classical music, this is an enthralling experience and great date night. Hearing the pieces themselves is a bit like time travel, and the skill of the musicians and seeing how they play together is such an amazing thing. I'll remember this forever.

We were blown away by the amazing musicians of the Mozart Ensemble piano trio! The music was beautiful and the musicians provided introductions to each piece that gave their historical context and the reasons why the musicians selected the pieces. It was magical to hear such talented musicians playing in an intimate, beautiful space where Mozart himself once performed!

The music and surroundings enchanted us. We would highly recommend the Mozarthaus concert to friends. We would also tell them the venue is beautiful, with cozy seating, but with little ventilation. In March, it was okay with 100% attendance, and the break allowed us to breathe freely outside. In July, it could be unpleasantly warm. So, dress lightly.

The musicians were excellent. However, it was difficult to find the venue, as it is not actually at the Mozarthaus. The tickets should show the exact address and there should be adequate signage in the neighborhood.

Nice concert, the musicians are good, they have a good time while playing, so we also have a good time while hearing/watching them perform classical pieces of art. Would definitely recommend this to anybody who likes music.

We liked that it was like a private musical performance and a nice atmosphere. We had no problems with the booking, but it should be clearer with information where Sala Terrana was. Confusion that there were two different addresses came up when we searched. We would recommend the show to friends. Thank you for a nice evening!

I thought the performance agenda / pieces was a good selection. The venue was a really beautiful room of historical significance. The musucians were very accomplished.

A bit more audience interaction would have been nice. E.g. greet the audience, introduce the pieces etc.

Also the directions to the venue were really not helpful, poor signposting, etc. We actually went to the wrong place initially as a result. When we got there, after the interval we had to leave early and were essentially locked in - could not exit the way we came in, noone around to help or explain etc.

Really extraordinary! Definitely one of my highlight experiences during my 10 day holiday in Vienna. Each of the individual musicians were excellent and passionate in their playing, both the charm of the small chamber room coupled with the acoustics was wonderful. Definitely pay the few extra dollars for seating in the first few front rows, book your tickets well in advance as this venue consistently sells out!

Super intimate and gorgeous venue. It felt like going back in time to when Mozart would have been the equivalent of today's rock stars. The talented musicians being dressed in historical costume added to the authenticity. There was a short interval in the courtyard and time for a glass of Austrian wine. Highly recommended if you are short of time and want to attend a concert in the city of music. Very well organised. Just don't go to Mozarthause. It's not there. Read your booking ticket carefully for the venue address.

The concert on Sunday April 6 was a pure delight.
The playing was enthusiastic and there was a lot of fun in the room.

The performance was superb and there was clearly good chemistry between the members of the quartet as they responded well to each to bring together good harmonies. The performance room, while small, has excellent acoustics and is beautifully decorated. A very good evening out.

They were truly professional, enjoyable and individually very talented. The Mozarthaus is a delightful and cosy place to enjoy such music and allowed us to imagine how it was in Vienna during the Classical era.
The range of pieces really captured the experience well.
